We ask Estonian nationals currently in Ukraine to leave the country at the earliest opportunity and return to Estonia. Due to Russia’s military action, we advise against any travel to Ukraine. We urge all Estonian nationals in Ukraine to register their stay at the Reisi Targalt website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or call +372 5301 9999.

Embassy of Estonia made a visit to Berdychiv and took part in economic forum

Embassy of Estonia in Kyiv joined the celebrations on the occasion of Days of European Culture in Berdychiv and took part in economic forum «Berdychiv – a meeting place of opportunities and solutions».

The event was attended by Deputies of Ukraine, heads of the Zhytomyr State Administration, Berdychiv City autorities, donor organizations, entrepreneurs and representatives of Berdychiv twin towns. Participants discussed interaction between the state and business and also cooperation between the Berdychiv community and international partners in war conditions.

Estonia has already focused its efforts in the reconstruction on Zhytomyr region with different projects. For instance with construction of the modular kindergarten in Ovruch, restoration of bridge in Malyn, homes for displaced Ukrainian foster families.

Now the new on-going project of full reconstruction of the Intensive Care Unit at Berdychiv City Hospital and equip its staff with advanced skills in trauma and rehadilitation care, is implemented by Ireland and Estonia. According to project «HEAL Berdychiv – Enhancing Intensive Care and Rehabilitation» over 50 doctors and nurses will have targeting training, with international expertise provided by Estonin and Irish partners, includinig practical learning opportunities in both Estonia and Ireland.
