Ambassador of Estonia Annely Kolk together with colleagues from Nordic-Baltic Eight countries attended the briefing of Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Ihor Zhovkva.
The parties discussed the implementation of the PURL initiative and Ukraine’s current needs, joint weapons production, and investment in the military-technical sector.

Ihor Zhovkva expressed gratitude for the ongoing communication and coordination regarding support for Ukraine; he also provided an update on current diplomatic efforts to achieve peace and reliable security guarantees within the framework of the Coalition of the Willing.
Participants paid special attention to situation in Ukraine’s energy sector, which is repeatedly targeted by Russian strikes. The Deputy Head of the Office of the President called for increasing support for Ukraine’s energy system, including through the supply of equipment.
In addition, the parties discussed Ukraine’s European integration future and shared expectations regarding the outcomes of the European Council meeting scheduled for next week in Brussels.
