On18 August, Estonian Ambassador to Ukraine Tiina Intelmann presented her credentials to President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
At the meeting following the presentation ceremony, discussions focused on the further development of bilateral relations between Estonia and Ukraine and continued support for Ukraine in the face of Russia’s aggression. They also discussed Ukraine’s closer integration into transatlantic structures, progress towards accession to the European Union, and preparations for the Ukraine Recovery Conference to be held in Tallinn in January.
Ambassador Intelmann stressed that both the Estonian government and the Estonian people remain steadfast in their comprehensive support for Ukraine. “Ukraine is fighting every day for the security of the whole of Europe. We hope that one day we will be able to sit together as equals around the same table in the European Union and NATO.”
Estonia and Ukraine established diplomatic relations on 4 January 1992. Estonia has been one of Ukraine’s staunchest supporters, consistently providing political, military and economic support as well as humanitarian assistance. Estonia is also contributing to Ukraine’s long-term recovery, as demonstrated by the Ukraine Recovery Conference to be held in Tallinn in January 2027.
