We ask Estonian nationals currently in Ukraine to leave the country at the earliest opportunity and return to Estonia. Due to Russia’s military action, we advise against any travel to Ukraine. We urge all Estonian nationals in Ukraine to register their stay at the Reisi Targalt website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or call +372 5301 9999.

Joint Statement by the Governments of Ukraine and Estonia

Russia is carrying out daily attacks on Ukraine’s economy, energy sector, communications networks, and critical infrastructure, targeting virtually every aspect of people’s lives. The aim of these attacks is to undermine the country’s resilience ahead of and throughout the winter.

Under these circumstances, Ukraine needs the strongest possible support from its international partners, coordinated efforts, and swift decisions. Resources are needed immediately to address the challenges at hand: protecting the energy sector, keeping the economy functioning, ensuring connectivity, and maintaining transport and critical infrastructure.

URC 2027 in Tallinn on January 28-29 must serve as a platform for mobilising international support for Ukraine at a time when it is needed most. Given the current circumstances, the Conference will shift its primary focus from recovery to resilience.

The key objective is to mobilise the resources Ukraine urgently needs. We expect URC to deliver tangible results: concrete decisions, specific financial commitments, and assistance mechanisms that can be put into operation as early as this winter.

We call on international partners to participate in the Conference and contribute actively to the preparation of its outcomes.

The Ministries of Economy and Foreign Affairs of both countries have been designated as responsible for the preparations and have already been instructed to accelerate their work to achieve tangible practical outcomes.
